Step 23 of 27
Now, let’s add the second layer to your pendant detailing.
Make a U curve with a new string of 26 gauge gold copper wire and place it at the bottom of your stone (fig. 23a, 23b).
Make the first anchor point on the right side of your primary wire frame (fig. 23c, 23d).

Then, make a small curve at the bottom right frame and pull the remaining wire to the pendant front (fig. 23e, 23f).
Make another small curve underneath the vine design (fig. 23g, 23h).
Pull the wire to the back and make an anchor point at the bottom of your stone and bundle all the wires there (fig. 23i, 23j, 23k).
Lastly, cut the excess wire with a small wire cutter (fig. 23l).
Step 24 of 27
Repeat the same wire structuring process on the left side:
Anchor the loose 18 gauge wire on the left side of the primary wire frame (fig. 24a, 24b, 24c).
Make two small curves on the back and front of your pendant (fig. 24d, 24e).
Pull the remaining wire to the back and anchor at the bottom of the stone (fig. 24f, 24g).
Use a small wire cutter to trim off the excess wire (fig. 24h, 24i).
Your second pendant detailing layer is complete (fig. 24j)!
Step 25 of 27
Bond the bottom of the primary and secondary wire frame using the wire coiling technique with 26 gauge gold copper wire (fig. 25a, 25b, 25c).
