Step 18 of 21

Add a second layer of curved wires to the wire structure (fig. 18a).

Take a 22-gauge copper wire and form two curved wires next to the wire structure:

  • Left side (fig. 18b, 18c, 18d, 18e, 18f).
  • Right side (fig. 18g).

Then, coil and weave the wire structures using a 26-gauge copper wire (fig. 18h, 18i, 18j).

Step 19 of 21

Fourthly, let’s form the pendant bail with the remaining straight 18-gauge copper wires on the top (fig. 19a).

Take a 26-gauge copper wire and weave the inner 18-gauge copper wire in the following sequence:

  • Make one figure-8 weave, then one big coil over both inner wires (fig. 19b, 19c, 19d).

Continue weaving until you reach your desired bail length (fig. 19e).

Then, use a stepped bail-making pliers to form your bail by making a U-curl on your straight wires (fig. 19f, 19g, 19h, 19i, 19j).

Now let’s finish up the pendant bail design.

Face the back of your pendant and form two small loops on the outer 18-gauge copper wires (fig. 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e).

Repeat the same looping process for the inner 18-gauge copper wires (fig. 20f, 20g, 20h, 20i, 20j).

Trim the excess 18-gauge copper wires with a wire cutter.

Finally, coil the lower half of the top ring frame with 26-gauge copper wire (fig. 21a, 21b, 21c).

Then, polish the surface of your pendant using a finest steel wire wool (fig. 21d, 21e).
