Step 3 of 15
From this step and the next, we will be making a simple gemstone frame to hold onto the pendant main frame securely.
Bend a 39 inches long 18-gauge brown copper wire in half and place the midpoint around your brown gemstone (fig. 3a, 3b).
Use a mini long needle nose pliers to curl a hook as shown (fig. 3c, 3d, 3e).

Place your gemstone on the hook and wrap the wire tightly across your stone (fig. 3f, 3g, 3h).
Step 4 of 15
Next, wrap the wires to the top of the gemstone and make a curved bend to hold it down with a mini long needle nose pliers (fig. 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, 4e, 4f).
Step 5 of 15
At this step, we will fasten the gemstone 18-gauge wire frame to the 10-gauge circular main frame.
Place the gemstone at the center of the main frame and tape it in position (fig. 5a, 5b).
Then, anchor the loose 18-gauge wires for 2 loops from the gemstone frame onto the 10-gauge circular main frame (fig. 5c, 5d, 5e, 5f, 5g, 5h, 5i, 5j).

Let’s add another structural layer onto the gemstone frame.
Cut 4 inch length of 18-gauge copper wire and make a right angle bend at its midpoint (fig. 6a, 6b).
Place the right angled wire at the bottom of the gemstone and tape it (fig. 6c).
Then, wrap the loose wire along the left side of the gemstone (fig. 6d, 6e).
At the main frame, place the loose wire on the inner side of the first anchor point for a twisting effect as shown (fig. 6f).
Repeat the process for the right side loose wire (fig. 6g, 6h, 6i).
