Step 8 of 16
Now, let’s form a wire bail for your pendant.
Split the wire bundles into three parts, where two 18-gauge wires makes up for the middle part (fig. 8a, 8b).
Then, coil the middle part with a string of 22-gauge gold copper wire for about 1.5 inches in length (fig. 8c, 8d, 8e, 8f).

Curl your wire bail to the back side with a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 8g, 8h, 8i).
Lastly, trim off the excess 22-gauge wire with a wire cutter (fig. 8j, 8k).
Step 9 of 16
We are going to wrap a crisscross wire pattern on the neck of your wire bail to hold it in shape.
Firstly, split the middle wires to the sides of your stone (fig. 9a).
Then, wrap the right loose 18-gauge wire around the bail neck where the wire end points to the right (fig. 9b, 9c, 9d, 9e).
Next, do the same for the left loose 18-gauge wire by wrapping it around the bail neck with the wire end points to the left (fig. 9f, 9g, 9h, 9i, 9j).
Step 10 of 16
Continue on, make a second layer crisscross wrap on your pendant bail (fig. 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d).
Use a wire cutter to trim off the excess 18-gauge copper wires (fig. 10e, 10f, 10g, 10h).
Your pendant bail design is complete.
