WIRE-WRAPPING SHARK TOOTH WITH DIAMOND WEAVE BAIL PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 10
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
For the pendant frame base wires, take 2 strings of 18-gauge copper wire and 4 strings of 20-gauge copper wire (fig. 1b, 1c).
Arrange and tape the copper wires into a wire strip as shown (fig. 1d):
- Two 20-gauge copper wires on the left.
- Two 18-gauge copper wires in the middle.
- Two 20-gauge copper wires on the right.
Then, tape the copper wire strip vertically onto your shark tooth (fig. 1e, 1f).
Step 2 of 10
Press the wire strip along the curved root of the shark tooth, and curl a bail using a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e).
Then, split the bail into a Y-shape structure as shown (fig. 2f, 2g).
Step 3 of 10
Face the back side of your pendant (fig. 3a).
Make a wrap around the right tooth root with the 18-gauge copper wire on the right bail (fig. 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f).
Then, finish the design with a wire curl (fig. 3g).
Repeat the 18-gauge copper wire wrapping and curling on the left tooth root (fig. 3h, 3i, 3j).
