WIRE-WRAPPING OPULENT MARQUISE LABRADORITE CABOCHON PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 17
Prepare all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Start with a 12-gauge gold copper wire to form your pendant main frame (fig. 1b, 1c).
Mark the midpoint of your wire with a pen and make a V-shape bend using a flat nose pliers (fig. 1d, 1e, 1f).
Then, fit the bottom of your marquise labradorite stone onto the V-shape wire frame and tape it in place (fig. 1g, 1h).
Step 2 of 17
Next, form the top frame by intersecting the loose 12-gauge wires, leaving a space around your stone (fig. 2a).
Mark the wire intersection with a pen and bend away the excess wires with a flat nose pliers (fig. 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e, 2f).
Then, straighten the loose wires with a nylon jaw pliers (fig. 2g, 2h).
Complete the shape of your pendant main frame by taping the straight wires together (fig. 2i).
Step 3 of 17
Moving on, let’s form your pendant bail.
Curl the straight wires towards the front using a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 3a, 3b).
Then, secure the shape of your bail with a tape (fig. 3c, 3d).
After that, curve your remaining 12-gauge wires to the right (fig. 3e, 3f).
