WIRE-WRAPPING BLUE MOLLY MOON SILVER WOVEN PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 13
Prepare all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Firstly, let’s weave a silver wire frame for your carved stone crescent moon.
For the weaving base, take 5 strings of 20-gauge silver copper wire and tape them into a strip (fig. 1b).
For the weaving wire, use a 26-gauge silver copper wire (fig. 1c).
Step 2 of 13
On the bottom base wire, make 4 small coils with the weaving wire (fig. 2a).
Then, make 1 medium coil over 2 base wires, ascending from the bottom to the top base wires (fig. 2b, 2c, 2d).
After that, finish with descending medium coils (fig. 2e, 2f, 2g, 2h).
Your first weaving combo is complete.
Step 3 of 13
Continue weaving the base wires until it is long enough to frame your crescent moon stone (fig. 3a, 3b, 3c).
Then, curl the woven wire into a U-shape using a wooden ring mandrel (fig. 3d, 3e, 3f).
Place your crescent moon stone into the woven wire frame (fig. 3g, 3h).
