WIRE-WRAPPING DREAMY OVAL LABRADORITE COPPER PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 18
Prepare your work station with items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Firstly, let’s form the main frame for your labradorite stone.
Cut 2 long strings of 18-gauge copper wire and tape them together (fig. 1b, 1c).
Then, wrap a big loop around your labradorite stone (fig. 1d, 1e, 1f).
Step 2 of 18
Next, mark the ends of your wire frame on the top of your labradorite stone (fig. 2a).
Then, use a chain nose pliers to bend the extra wires into straight lines (fig. 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e, 2f).
Step 3 of 18
Moving on, let’s add texture to your main frame by weaving coils with 26-gauge copper wire (fig. 3a, 3b).
Leave a space on your top frame then weave the following combo (fig. 3c):
- Make 2 big coils over both 18-gauge copper wires.
- Then, make 2 small coils on the back 18-gauge copper wire.
Repeat the weaving combo on both sides of your main frame (fig. 3d, 3e, 3f, 3g).
Remember to leave space at the bottom frame (fig. 3h).
Step 4 of 18
After that, add a layer of 18-gauge copper wire V-shape frame onto your main frame (fig. 4a, 4b).
Then, wrap the secondary frame over the top of your pendant (fig. 4c, 4d).
Use a chain nose pliers to bend the extra wires into straight lines (fig. 4e, 4f, 4g, 4h).
