WIRE-WRAPPING SILVER CAGE GOLDEN SWIRL CRYSTAL WAND PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 13
Prepare all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Part One, let’s form the main frame of your crystal holder.
Tape two strings of 18-gauge silver copper wire and make a U-bend (fig. 1b, 1c, 1d).
Then, place your crystal hexagonal wand stone at the base of your wire frame (fig. 1e, 1f).
Step 2 of 13
Next, tape the right side of the 18-gauge silver wire frame onto your crystal wand stone (fig. 2a).
Bend the base frame according to the shape of the crystal point using a chain nose pliers (fig. 2b, 2c, 2d).
At the top of your crystal point, crisscross the 18-gauge silver wire frame to close (fig. 2e, 2f, 2g).
Then, straighten the remaining 18-gauge silver copper wires with a chain nose pliers (fig. 2h, 2i, 2j).
Step 3 of 13
Moving on, coil the remaining 18-gauge silver copper wire into a bundle using a 26-gauge silver copper wire (fig. 3a, 3b).
Then, split the 18-gauge silver copper wires into two smaller branches (fig. 3c).
Arrange the wires into a neat wire ribbon with a chain nose pliers (fig. 3d, 3e, 3f).
Step 4 of 13
Part Two, let’s form the pendant bail for your crystal holder pendant.
Make a U-curl on the 18-gauge silver copper wire ribbon with a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 4a, 4b).
Then, shape the bail neck by squeezing the wire ribbon using a chain nose pliers (fig. 4c, 4d).
After that, split the top of your pendant bail frame into a V-shape as shown (fig. 4e, 4f).
