WIRE-WRAPPING LAVISH HEADY TEARDROP LABRADORITE PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 21
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a, 1b).
Firstly, cut 10 long strings of 18-gauge wires with a color mixture of gold, silver and copper (fig. 1c).
Then, tape along the length of the 18-gauge wires into a base wire strip for wire weaving (fig. 1d).
Frame your teardrop labradorite stone with the base wire strip (fig. 1e, 1f, 1g).
Step 2 of 21
Next, take a 22-gauge silver copper wire to weave a zig-zag design onto the wire frame (fig. 2a).
Start with a double coil on the lowest wire from your base wire strip as shown (fig. 2b, 2c, 2d).
Then, work your way upwards to the next wire with a step forward (fig. 2e).
Proceed to weave until you reach the top wire of your base wire strip (fig. 2f, 2g, 2h, 2i, 2j, 2k, 2l, 2m).
Part one of the wire weaving sequence is complete.
Step 3 of 21
For part two, continue to weave the 22-gauge silver onto the base wire strip in a downward direction (fig. 3a, 3b).
Remember to take a step forward as you start on the next wire (fig. 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f, 3g, 3h, 3i, 3j).
You have completed one set of zig-zag weave sequence.
