Step 9 of 11
Now let’s create a simple wire fish hook for your earring backing.
Take a 22-gauge silver copper wire and curl a fish hook with a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 9a, 9b).
Then, take another new 22-gauge silver copper wire and coil the shank of your fish hook for extra details (fig. 9c,9d).
Lastly, use a chain nose pliers to bend the tip of the fish hook outwards as shown (fig. 9e, 9f).

Step 10 of 11
Finish your earring backing with a small spacer bead and a small wire bail.
Slide in the small spacer bead and stop it at the end of your hook shank (fig. 10a, 10b).
Then, use a round nose pliers to form a small bail with the remaining 22-gauge silver copper wire (fig. 10c, 10d, 10e).
Trim off the excess wire with a wire cutter (fig. 10f, 10g).

Step 11 of 11
Attach your wire fish hook backing to your earring (fig. 11a, 11b).
Polish your earring using a finest steel wire wool (fig. 11c).
Repeat the whole process for the other earring.
Well done! You have completed your tutorial.
