Let’s make the jump ring for your keychain with a 14-gauge brown copper wire (fig. 6a).
Curl your wire with a stepped bail-making pliers and make a loop (fig. 6b, 6c).
Then, use your wire cutter and trim right in the middle of the overlapping wires (fig. 6d, 6e).

Slip your jump ring onto the top spiral of your keychain (fig. 6f, 6g).

Finally, let’s craft the split ring for your keychain.
Take a wooden mandrel and wrap a 14-gauge brown copper wire as shown (fig. 7a, 7b, 7c).
Then, trim off the excess wire with a wire cutter (fig. 7d, 7e).
Slip your newly made split ring onto your jump ring (fig. 7f, 7g).
