WIRE-WRAPPING CUBE STONE WITH UNIQUE CAGE PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 10
Firstly, prepare the Materials and Tool items on your work table (fig. 1a, 1b).
In this step, we wrap a unique spiral cage to hold your precious cube stone.
Note: You may first draw the design template on a piece of paper as shown in (fig. 1d) and (fig. 2a).
Use a string of 14-gauge brown copper wire and trace the front design template (fig. 1c, 1d).
Start bending the wire at the center of the spiral (fig. 1e).
Then, slowly work your way outwards (fig. 1f, 1g, 1h, 1i).
Step 2 of 10
Secondly, continue bending the 14-gauge wire in an inward spiral pattern for the back design template (fig. 2a, 2b).
Use a masking tape to hold the cage in shape while you work on the wire.
Step 3 of 10
After completing the design, this is how your unique spiral cage should look:
- Front view (fig. 3a)
- Left view (fig. 3b)
- Top view (fig. 3c)
Slide your precious cube stone from top and into the cage as shown (fig. 3d, 3e).
You have completed your pendant main frame.
