Step 10 of 18
Make a small loop with the 20-gauge copper wire at the bottom left frame (fig. 10a, 10b).
Then, use a new 26-gauge copper wire to weave the 22-gauge and 20-gauge copper wires in the following combo (fig. 10c):
- Form 5 small coils on the 22-gauge copper wire, and then 2 big coils over both wires (fig. 10d).
Continue weaving until you have reach the top bird neck (fig. 10e).

Step 11 of 18
Moving on, let’s add a pretty flower onto your hummingbird pendant (fig. 11a).
Slip a gold flower bead cap and a silver spacer bead onto the 26-gauge weaving wire (fig. 11b, 11c, 11d).
Then, fix the position of the flower bead using the wire looping technique (fig. 11e, 11f).
Proceed with the wire weaving process for another two sets (fig. 11g, 11h, 11i).
After that, coil an extra 1-inch length on the 22-gauge copper wire and trim off the excess weaving wire (fig. 11j).
Step 12 of 18
Similarly, make a 1-inch coiling on the 20-gauge copper wire with a 26-gauge copper wire (fig. 12a, 12b).
After that, make two coiled loops at the end of the woven wire design, and anchor onto the 18-gauge bird body frame:
- 22-gauge coiled loop design (fig. 12c, 12d, 12e, 12f).
- 20-gauge coiled loop design (fig. 12g, 12h, 12i, 12j).
Your third heady layer frame is complete.
Step 13 of 18
Now, let’s add a bird eye onto your wire wrapped hummingbird pendant.
Make a loop and line the bottom loose 20-gauge copper wire along the woven wire (fig. 13a, 13b, 13c).
Then, coil on the bird head frame (fig. 13d), and slip in one small brown glass bead onto the 20-gauge copper wire (fig. 13e, 13f, 13g).
Frame the eye bead position by wrapping the wire around it (fig. 13h, 13i).
Lastly, anchor the wire end near the top bird beak frame (fig. 13j).
Your bird eye frame is complete.
