WIRE-WRAPPING BEJEWELED AQUA JADE PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 17
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool List.
Firstly, let’s form the pendant main frame.
Bend a 18-gauge copper wire into a V-shape and place a square jade stone in between (fig. 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e).
Then, wrap the wire along the sides of the square jade stone to form a hexagon wire frame (fig. 1f, 1g).
Hammer the hexagon wire frame on a base metal plate to hold its shape (fig. 1h, 1i, 1j).
Step 2 of 17
Secondly, let’s form the pendant bail.
Use a chain nose pliers to bend the extra 18-gauge copper wire into straight lines (fig. 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d).
Then, curl the wire bail into shape with a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 2e, 2f, 2g, 2h).
Step 3 of 17
Thirdly, let’s design the back stone holder frame.
Mark the loose 18-gauge copper wires at the top of your square jade stone (fig. 3a).
Then, bend the right loose wire using a chain nose pliers and wrap it along the right side of your jade (fig. 3b, 3c, 3d).
Repeat the same process for the left loose wire (fig. 3e).
Step 4 of 17
Next, mark the midpoints of the bottom overlapping 18-gauge copper wires (fig. 4a).
Then, bend the extra wires upwards using a chain nose pliers (fig. 4b, 4c, 4d).
