WIRE-WRAPPING ARETHA SOLITAIRE ELONGATED OVAL DIAMOND RING TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 11
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a). Take a 20-gauge silver copper wire and cut it into 3 equal wire strings (fig. 1b, 1c). Quick Tip: Tape the wire strings together for better handling. Then, form a ring band by wrapping the wire strings around a wooden ring mandrel (fig. 1d, 1e).
Step 2 of 11
Next, weave your 20-gauge ring band using a 26-gauge silver copper wire with the following combos (fig. 2a). Ascending weave combo (fig. 2b):

Repeat the weaving combos until you cover two-thirds of your ring band (fig. 2d, 2e, 2f).
Step 3 of 11
Moving on, let’s form the diamond holder on your ring band. Bend the excess 20-gauge silver copper wires upwards from the ring band with a chain nose pliers (fig. 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e). On the left, split two wires to the top and one wire to the bottom (fig. 3f, 3g). On the right, split one wire to the top and two wires to the bottom (fig. 3h). Place your ring band on the wooden ring mandrel for better support (fig. 3i). After that, stick your elongated oval diamond in the middle of the stone holder frame using an Adhesive Tack-It (fig. 3j).
