WIRE-WRAPPING IRIDESCENT BLUE LABRADORITE WITH SWIRLS PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 10
Begin by setting up your work table with items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Create the main frame for your pendant using a 12-gauge copper wire (fig. 1b).
Use a flat nose pliers to make a V-bend on the wire (fig. 1c, 1d).
Then, place your stone in between the frame and tape them in place (fig. 1e, 1f, 1g).
Step 2 of 10
To make a joint on the top frame, mark the intersecting point with a pen or marker pen (fig. 2a).
Then, use a flat nose pliers to bend away the extra wires (fig. 2b, 2c, 2d).
Step 3 of 10
Tape the extra wires together into a straight line (fig. 3a).
Form your pendant bail with a stepped bail-making pliers by making a U-curl on the straight wires (fig. 3b, 3c).
Take note that the direction of the curl is towards the front of your pendant (fig. 3d).
Step 4 of 10
Add a layer of detailing onto the main frame with the remaining 12-gauge copper wires.
Face the front of your pendant, curve the loose wires to the bottom right of the main frame (fig. 4a).
Then, wrap the loose wires across the back of your pendant diagonally to the top right point as shown (fig. 4b, 4c, 4d).
After that, make a second wrap to the pendant front and slip the loose wires under the first curve (fig. 4e, 4f, 4g).
