WIRE-WRAPPING SPIRAL UNAKITE STONE SILVER LEAF PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 13
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
To form the pendant wire frame, cut a 20-gauge silver copper wire into 4 strings of 24-inches length wires (fig. 1b, 1c).
Then, section the wire bundle with tape (fig. 1d).
Step 2 of 13
Let’s shape the pendant wire frame by curving the midpoint of the 20-gauge wire bundle (fig. 2a, 2b).
Draw a leaf template on a piece of paper as shown (fig. 2c).
Then, trace the wire bundle along the designed template (fig. 2d, 2e).
The pendant main frame is complete (fig. 2f).
Step 3 of 13
Twist the extra wires at the top into two flat wire strips using a chain nose pliers (fig. 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e).
Step 4 of 13
Moving on, let’s form the pendant bail.
Merge the two flat wire strips at the top, and curl a wide bail with a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d).
Then, split the bail wires into three bundles (fig. 4e, 4f):
- 3 wires on the left.
- 2 wires at the middle.
- 3 wires on the right.
After that, take a 26-gauge silver copper wire and coil the 2 middle bail wires as shown (fig. 4g, 4h, 4i).
