• Copper Wire (26 AWG)
• Copper Wire (32 AWG)
• Small Square Tile Cabochon
• Wire Cutter
• Nylon Jaw Pliers

• Round Nose Pliers
• Wood Ring Mandrel
• Masking Tape
• Finest Steel Wire Wool

Step 1 of 11

Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).

Firstly, use a 20-gauge copper wire to form the rose petal frame (fig. 1b).

Curve your wire using a wooden ring mandrel to create a wire petal bump (fig. 1c).

Then, make 9 continuous wire petal bumps by looping wire curve endings.

Finish the wire petal frame design by making a loose U-shape bend with the remaining wire (fig. 1d).

Next, take a 26-gauge copper wire to fill in the empty space using the wire weaving technique (fig. 2a).

Make a few starting coils on the tip of the 20-gauge U-shape wire petal frame (fig. 2b, 2c).

Then, begin the weaving process as follow:

Pull the loose wire from the bottom side of the left frame to the top side of the right frame, and make two coils (fig. 2d).

After that, pull the wire from the bottom side of the right frame to the top side of the left frame, and make two coils (fig. 2e).

Repeat the weaving combo until you cover up the space on your wire petal frame (fig. 2f, 2g).

Moving on, add an outline onto your wire petal frame with a new 20-gauge copper wire (fig. 3a).

Anchor one end of the 20-gauge copper wire at the tip of your wire petal frame with a 26-gauge copper wire (fig. 3b).

Curl the 20-gauge copper wire end for a mini detail  (fig. 3c).

Similarly, use a 26-gauge copper wire to anchor the 20-gauge copper wire lining along the wire petal frame loops as shown (fig. 3d, 3e).

Now, roll your wire petal frame inwards with a round nose pliers to form a rose flower (fig. 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d).

Then, weave a wire stalk with the remaining copper wires as follow (fig. 4e, 4f, 4g):

• Weave two small coils with the extra 26-gauge copper wire on the middle 20-gauge copper wire.
• And then weave one big coil over the middle and bottom 20-gauge copper wires.
• Repeat the weaving process for about 1 inch in length.

After that, place your wire rose flower stalk diagonally on the square tile cabochon (fig. 4h).
