She didn’t know what to do with an long oval labradorite palm stone that her sister gifted her.
And so I decided to design a minimalistic wire-wrapped pendant for her to wear as a jewelry instead.

MATERIALS + TOOL
- Silver Copper Wire (18 AWG)
- Gold Copper Wire (22 AWG)
- Oval Labradorite Stone
- Wire Cutter
- Chain-Nose Pliers
- Stepped Bail-Making Pliers
- Masking Tape
- Finest Steel Wire Wool

WIRE-WRAPPING COILED SPIRAL LARGE GEMSTONE HOLDER PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 11
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Start with an 18-gauge silver copper wire to frame your stone (fig. 1b, 1c).
Wrap the silver wire around your long oval stone and tape it in place (fig. 1d, 1e).
Step 2 of 11
Next, bend the remaining 18-gauge silver wire into straight lines with a chain nose pliers (fig. 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e).
Step 3 of 11
Then, use a 22-gauge gold copper wire to coil the 18-gauge straight silver wires together (fig. 3a, 3b, 3c).
Keep coiling for about 1 inch in length (fig. 3d).
After that, curl a U-shape on the coiled part with a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 3e, 3f).
Your basic stone wire frame and pendant bail is complete.
Step 4 of 11
Pull the loose 18-gauge silver copper wires through the gap under your pendant bail (fig. 4a, 4b, 4c).
Then, line the loose silver wires along the side of your stone and overlap them at the bottom (fig. 4d).
Tape the silver wires on the stone as shown (fig. 4e, 4f, 4g, 4h).
