WIRE-WRAPPING SIMPLE COPPER SWIRL DANGLE BEAD EARRINGS TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 6
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Firstly, form the earring body with 20-gauge copper wire (fig. 1b).
Curl the tip of your wire into a small loop using a round nose pliers (fig. 1c, 1d).
Then, make a slight bend at the end of the loop with a chain nose pliers (fig. 1e, 1f).
Step 2 of 6
Next, secure the shape of the loop by coiling a stopper using a 22-gauge copper wire (fig. 2a, 2b).
Then, add in beads onto the 20-gauge earring body wire:
- Tiny round bead (fig. 2c, 2d).
- Small round bead (fig. 2e, 2f).
Step 3 of 6
Moving on, let’s form a simple yet elegant copper wire swirl onto your earring body.
Firstly, make a right-angle bend on the 20-gauge earring body wire (fig. 3a, 3b).
Then, curl the remaining wire using the large diameter on a stepped bail-making pliers into a ring (fig. 3c, 3d).
Twist the loose ring wire end into a small loop with round nose pliers to form a spiral swirl (fig. 3e, 3f).
After that, hammer the wire swirl on a base metal plate for a flat structure (fig. 3g, 3h).
