WIRE-WRAPPING GOLD WOVEN HAMMERED WIRE CAT PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 13
Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Draw the cat design template on a paper (fig. 1b).
Then, trace the template using a 18-gauge copper wire (fig. 1c).
Start from the middle of the template by twisting a spiral using a round nose pliers (fig. 1d, 1e, 1f).
Your wire cat pendant main frame is complete (fig. 1g).
Step 2 of 13
Next, hammer the wire cat pendant on a base metal plate (fig. 2a, 2b, 2c).
Flat wire frame helps hold the shape of your wire cat pendant (fig. 2d).
Step 3 of 13
Moving on, let’s add beautiful little details onto your wire cat pendant.
Take a 24-gauge gold copper wire and anchor it on the right pendant neck with a few coils (fig. 3a, 3b, 3c).
Then, slip in the following beads onto your gold copper wire:
- One golden spacer bead (fig. 3d, 3e).
- One rose bead (fig. 3f, 3g).
Step 4 of 13
Face the back of your rose bead, and wrap the gold copper wire below your bead (fig. 4a, 4b).
Slip the gold copper wire through the gold spacer bead and rose bead (fig. 4c, 4d).
Then wrap over the top of your rose bead, and slip the gold copper wire through the rose bead (fig. 4e, 4f, 4g).
Lastly, slip in a new gold spacer bead on the right side and coil to anchor (fig. 4h, 4i).
Your beaded cat collar design is complete (fig. 4j).
