WIRE-WRAPPING GOLD TREE OF LIFE HEADY CABOCHON PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 18
Ready your work table with all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Firstly, form the main frame base using 18-guage copper wire (fig. 1b).
Prepare 5 long wire strings and tape them into a wire ribbon (fig. 1c, 1d).
Then, make a right-angle bend at the midpoint of the wire ribbon with a nylon jaw pliers (fig. 1e, 1f, 1g).
Step 2 of 18
Next, take your teardrop labradorite stone and line the bent 18-gauge copper wires at the bottom (fig. 2a, 2b).
Extend the wire points outwards as you progress through each wire layers (fig. 2c, 2d, 2e).
Checkpoint: This is how your bottom wire frame design should look (fig. 2f).
Tape the bottom frame to hold its shape (fig. 2g).
Step 3 of 18
Secondly, let’s design a Tree of Life wire structure with 24-gauge gold copper wires (fig. 3a).
Ready 20 long gold copper wire strings and make a midpoint twist using a nylon jaw pliers (fig. 3b, 3c, 3d).
Place the twisted wires in the middle of your pendant as the tree trunk (fig. 3e).
Then, form the tree roots by pulling the lower loose gold copper wires under your stone (fig. 3f, 3g).
