11 Jewelry Display Showcase Ideas For Craft Shows

Jewelry Display Showcase Ideas For Craft Shows

Hello, welcome back! So, you’re going to attend your first craft fair or the umpteenth one. Either way, you’ll need some display options. Or maybe you’d like to upgrade your existing ideas. Without further ado, let’s jump into some creative display ideas!

Jewelry Display Showcase Ideas For Craft Shows

1. Keep It Simple

I love simplicity, although some of my designs can become quite intricate. Clean lines and minimal clutter will help showcase all your hard work, as you can see in the pin below. You can spin a simple piece of pressed board into a necklace stand like the Craft Professional did in this picture.

Or how about bleached and reclaimed wood? It can add a rustic feeling to your display and allow those stones to stand out.

2. The DIY Solution

What does a piece of doweling, a painted, textured cloth, and canvas have in common? Nothing is my first thought…

However, as Pancake Paperie shows in this video, it makes an excellent display for your necklaces.

Bonus: There’s a vertical display right at the beginning of the video if you have a small space at the fair and you want to maximize your available space. Easy!

3. Display Your Rings Confidently

Round up all your wine-drinking friends and collect their wine bottle corks. A simple slit into a third or so of the cork will give you a ring display that will be the talk of the craft fair! Just slip the ring into the cut slit and they are secure.

Or maybe you’re more of a rustic kinda person; a nicely varnished piece of wood and parallel sticks can turn into a ring display with minimal effort, and it looks great against silver and copper rings.

4. The Wooden Feel

Wooden boxes are an excellent way to display your bracelets—simply pop the bracelets onto miniature pillows and place those inside wooden boxes where the pillow will fit comfortably. Grouping them will maximize the visual impact.

Drill some holes into a thick branch, add it to a sturdy base and you’re halfway there. Now, fit ‘branches’ to your main stem and dangle earrings from the branches.

Wooden crates make excellent tiny houses for your distinct lines of jewelry, and you can group them in small compartments for maximum visibility.

5. Handy IKEA Hacks

Without becoming too lyrical about my love for IKEA products, I’ll try to keep my excitement contained…

Allow Tanner from Amy & Tanner Skrocki to take you through the IKEA range—his ideas are worth the watch. What I love the most about IKEA’s products is their affordability and adaptability to suit my needs when I set up a display at craft fairs.

6. Themed Displays

Inner goth screaming to break free? Or a Disney Princess? Maybe a fairy? Well, the choice is yours and you can pick anything you like!

Silver jewelry on a plain background will stand out and grab the attention like nothing else. Why not shape your display into something you adore—it could be a gothic or fairy castle, dogs, cats, plants—whatever you can dream of.

Remember to make sure your jewelry can be displayed securely without falling off, or worse, toppling onto customers!

7. Wire Trees

Seeing that we all here love working with wire, why don’t we look at other creative ways to use wire for displays? A sturdy block of wood and a few open wire coils can make an interesting wire tree display where you can hang necklaces, bracelets, or earrings.

Or go bold and earthy and make a bonsai-like tree with branches to have items from to form a unique display.

8. Budget-Friendly Ideas

Sometimes I’m strapped for cash, so going out to buy displays can be a bit tricky.

Luckily, Upcycle Design Lab has some great ideas: from using tin cans to old CD cases to pet fences there’s something for everyone’s taste and budget. Remember, it is a craft fair—not Tiffany & Co.’s display window—so be creative!

9. Displaying Necklaces Daintily

Although necklaces are ‘small’ when packaged, they may require quite a lot of space when you display them. Below are four ideas to help and inspire your next craft fair display:

  • Old dressmaker or shop mannequins can provide height and space for different lengths of necklaces—a personal favorite

  • Dangle them from a wire in an open frame and let the light create a background

  • Wooden storage boxes, after a lick of paint, and a dowel rod or two can make an impactful display

  • Cut slits into a piece of wood along the top edge, pop a padded background on the front and you’ve got a great display you can lay flat when you pack up after the show.

10. Brave Bracelet Displays

Bracelets have to ‘stand’ to catch the eye, and here are some cool ideas for you:

  • Go for a gnome-look and use cones to display your bracelets and save space

  • Place like with like inside tilted compartment boxes

  • Stack similar bracelets on miniature ‘tree trunks’: a thick branch on a wooden base adds rustic charm to my displays

  • Roll up a towel, put a pretty cloth around it, and slide the bracelets onto it—quick and easy

  • Same idea as above, but place your rolls side-by-side in a wooden container

11. Jewelry Display Cases

Like a medieval triptych in a cathedral, this tri-fold jewelry display case by Debé VanderHeide can hold a whopping 75 pairs of earrings! Imagine the time you’ll save when you fold open the case and everything is ready to show and go! If you prefer a sturdy metal stand, this is the one for you.

Three tiers offer you enough space to display your earrings professionally. I like the look of this wooden stand that allows us to display earrings comfortably over five tiers. It can be used as a double-sided display unit or one side and prop it up against a nice background.
