Step 1 of 9

Ready all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).

Take a string of 18-gauge gold copper wire and fold it in half (fig. 1b, 1c).

Then, cut the wire into equal length with a wire cutter (fig. 1d, 1e).

Step 2 of 9

Next, set up the coil winder tool on your work table (fig. 2a).

Prepare a string of 22-gauge gold copper wire and anchor it on the front end of your trimmed 18-gauge wire (fig. 2b, 2c).

Then, secure the wires in the chuck of your coil wider tool (fig. 2d, 2e).

Step 3 of 9

Pull the 22-gauge wire downwards and wind the coiler tool to start the coiling process (fig. 3a, 3b, 3c).

Make sure the 18-gauge wire is straight and stable for a better coiling support (fig. 3d, 3e).

Continue to coil your 22-gauge wire until you have reached your desired length (fig. 3f).

Tips: Longer coiled wire produces better twisting visual.

Then, trim off the excess 22-gauge wire with a wire cutter (fig. 4c, 4d).

Repeat the wire coiling process on the other trimmed 18-gauge wire.

Checkpoint: You should have two coiled wires as shown (fig. 4e).
