WIRE-WRAPPING ROOTED WHITE HOWLITE CRYSTAL MOON PENDANT TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 9
Prepare all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Firstly, let’s frame the crescent moon shaped white Howlite stone using a 18-gauge copper wire (fig. 1b, 1c).
Ready a long 18-gauge copper wire string and gently fold it half (fig. 1d, 1e, 1f).
Then, form a loop at its midpoint using a stepped bail-making pliers (fig. 1g, 1h, 1i).
Step 2 of 9
With the wire loop as a pendant bail, place it on top of the Howlite moon stone (fig. 2a, 2b).
On the front side, curve the loose wire into a C-shape and make a wrap at the bottom moon wedge (fig. 2c, 2d).
Then at the back side, continue lining same wire along the outer moon wedge from the bottom to the top (fig. 2e).
After that, line the other remaining loose wire along the inner moon wedge (fig. 2f).
Step 3 of 9
Use the extra inner moon wedge frame wire to create a back stone holder frame with a looping design (fig. 3a).
Then, wrap the extra outer moon wedge frame wire around the pendant bail to close the frame (fig. 3b, 3c, 3d).
Lastly, line the excess wire along the pendant bail and curl the wire end (fig. 3e, 3f).
Your pendant main frame is complete.
