WIRE-WRAPPING FINE SILVER RUBY TEARDROP CIRCLET HEADPIECE TUTORIAL
Step 1 of 8
Prepare all items from the Materials and Tool list (fig. 1a).
Wrap a 22-gauge silver copper wire around a red teardrop diamond, with the sharp tip as the top (fig. 1b, 1c, 1d).
For the back stone holder frame, fold the extra wires at the top and line them along the side of your red teardrop diamond until they overlap at the bottom (fig. 1e, 1f, 1g).
Then at the midpoint of the overlapping wires, pull the extra wires upwards (fig. 1h).
Step 2 of 8
Next, weave the bottom frames using a 32-gauge silver copper wire, or any thin silver wire that can go through narrow frame gaps (fig. 2a, 2b).
Starting from the front bottom left frame, make 3 clockwise coils and then crossover to the opposite frame to make another 3 anticlockwise coils (fig. 2c, 2d).
This will form a crisscross weaving pattern along the bottom frame as shown (fig. 2e).
